EcoThailand have visiting interns working with us, and our partners, on a wide range of our projects. Most of then, both from Thai and foreign universities receive little or no stipend or grant to help them during their time at EcoThailand. Costs have increased enormously recently in the Thai Gulf area and the students really struggle to find accommodation or even adequate food. EcoThailand supports and subsidizes the students so far as we are able but are dependent on donations and sponsorship to do so. We invite you all to help us with this essential aspect of both our projects, the Universities and the individual students.
Here we present Naming and Namwaan, two of our interns for the current year.
Both are Environmental Health undergraduates at Walailak University, Nakhon si Thammarat, Thailand.
They work within our Bio Waste Management project liaising and gaining basic data and information, its analysis and presentation from individuals, businesses and local tessabaan (municipalities) with the objective of identifying, monitoring and formulating future plans for Bio Waste Management in the Thai Gulf. AS part of their studies they will write a dissertation which forms part of their degree studies.
